All AHA course fees include pertinent supplies and materials (breathing barriers, videos, manikins, etc) however, American Heart Association booklets are sold separately. You may request that your instructor bring these books to the class for you to purchase (book price depending on the class). There is no extra charge for on-site workplace training, although we do require a minimum number people (depending on course and location). Payment is due prior to the beginning of class, unless otherwise arraged. When should you schedule a class? We advise you to book as soon as you are sure of which program you need and what dates work for you. Simply call us to get exact dates and times or to book a convenient date for your group. Businesses can take andvantage of our large group rates by scheduling regular training throughout the year. Call or e-mail us for details. Basic First Aid:

Participants learn to recognize the signs and symptoms of injuries and sudden illness. Crucial information about how to deal with emergencies such as shock, burns, strains, strokes, and seizures is shaved.

Child and Baby sitting Safety (CABS):

CABS is a community education program that covers child safety and basic care techniques for infants and children. Developed in conjuction with the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Pet Firs Aid:

Pet First Aid provides information on caring for dogs and cats, as well as guidance about when pets should be taken to the veterinarian for professional care. This program has the ASPCA seal of approval.

First Responder:

An education program (approximately 40 hours in length) designed to provide students with the core knowledge, skills and attitudes to function in the capacity of a First Responder. The curriculum includes skills necessary for the student to provide emergency medical care with a limited amount of equipment. (Both Mosby and Brady programs are available)

Heartsaver First Aid with Pediatric:

The course includes pediatric skills for breathing and cardiac information and skills for victims younger than 9 years of age.

The course teaches how to recognize the signs of four major emergencies: heart attack, stroke, cardiac arrest and choking.

Heartsaver AED with Pediatric CPR course teaches the basic techniques of adult CPR and how to use an AED. Child and infant CPR skills may be taught if students live or work in a setting where children are present. Students also learn to use barrier devices in CPR and to give first aid for choking for responsive adult, child and infant victims. The course teaches how to recognize the signs of four major emergencies: heart attack, stroke, cardiac arrest and choking.

Heartsaver CPR:

The Heartsaver CPR course that teaches lay rescuers how to recognize and treat life-threatening emergencies, including cardiac arrest and choking for adult, child and infant victims. Students also learn to recognize the warning signs of heart attack and stroke in adults and breathing difficulties in children.

CPR for Family and Friends:

The CPR for family and friends awareness program teaches rescuers skills in CPR and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction. It covers the AHA chain of survival and signs of heart attack, cardiac arrest, stroke and choking in adults, infants and children. No testing or certification. "Tambien en Espanol"

Emergency Oxygen:

Serious and life-threatening medical emergencies often cause oxygen to be depleted in the body leaving the victim at risk for cardiac arrest or brain damage. Supplemental oxygen is a critical step in treating a severe or life-threatening illness or injury. This program focuses on administering emergency oxygen, rescue breathing and oxygen delivery devices.

Disaster Preparedness:

This class covers natural and man-made disasters. It is designed to help reduce fear and uncertainty through its message of personal preparation and planning. Designed for employers and employees. When Disaster Strikes will be helpful in planning for your home or organization. The training discusses disasters such as fire, terrorism, mail and bomb threats, tornadoes and floods.

Bloodborne Pathogens:

This program includes information that will help students understand what bloodborne pathogens are and how risks of exposure can be reduced for themselves and others. The program assists in satisfying the training requirements of the U.S. Department of Labor, OSHA Bloodborned Pathogens Standard (29 CFR 1910.1030).

Automated External Defibrillation (AED):

Having personnel on-site that are expertly trained in the use of Automated External Defibrillation (AED) provides the victim with rapid defibrillation access before EMS arrival, greatly increasing the chance of survival. Training includes recognition of unresponsive victims, review of equipment operation and maintenance, discussion of treatment and valuable hands-on practice designed to increase skills.
