First Response Medical Training, LLC (FRMTLLC)


The school was formed in August of 2005 by Ricardo Acosta and Lota Acosta in a converted two car garage to a classroom. It was approvad as the Training Site by American Heart Association and American Safety & Health Institute as the Training Center (ID FIRS51). The school offered Basic Life Support (BLS) and Heartsaver First Aid standards. On October 2006 the school was approved by National Healthcareer Association (Test Site code TX46) to nationally certify student for Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) and Certified EKG Technician (CET). On November 2006, they moved to a bigger classroom which is now located in Trimmier road. On June 2008 First Response Medical Training, LLC (S3129) is approved as Career Schools and Colleges for the State of Texas.

Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)

Note:  Students must complete 25 Venipuncture and 10 Capillary sticks before taking the NHA exam.

Approximate Additional Expenses                             

Uniform and Textbook                          $ 80.00       Bright red scrubs are required to be worn from the 4th week of class.

Electrocardiogram—EKG Technician (CET)

Note:  Students are required to attend one week of clinical rotations at a local clinic to complete 30 EKG Medical Recording Charts before taking the NHA exam.

Mental Health Technician (CMHT)

Note:  Students will participate in role playing with fellow students and clinical rotations at a local nursing facility prior to the NHA exam.
