Medical Assistant

The Clinical Medical Assistant program is designed to teach students the skills necessary for employment in any modern health care facility. A qualified medical assistant is capable of performing a wide range of duties with a variety of technical detail, thus helping the physician in many clinical situations. Some general duties include but are not limited to: answering phones, updating and filing medical records, scheduling appointments, medical billing, taking vital signs, and  explaining treatments and procedures to patients.
