HIstory
First Response was formed August 2005 by Ricardo and Lota Acosta. First Response was approved as a Training Site by The American Heart Association and The American Safety & Health Institute as a Training Center (ID FIRS51). The school offers Basic Life Support (BLS) and Heart saver First Aid standards. On October 2006, the school was approved by National Health career Association (Test Site code TX46) to nationally certify students for Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) and Certified EKG Technician (CET). On November 2006, First Response moved to a bigger classroom which is now located on Trimmier Road. In June 2008 First Response Medical Training, LLC (S3129) was approved as Career Schools and Colleges for the State of Texas.

Our programs are approved by the Texas Workforce Commission (S3129). Our accreditations allow us to both train and nationally certify students (proving their competency) as Clinical Medical Assistants, Phlebotomy Technicians, Mental Health Technicians, and EKG Technicians. We are pleased to promote AMCA national testing and certifications to eligible individuals.
Customized services are available for businesses to satisfy compliance with state and federal regulations from diagnostic clinic/lab services to CPR to CE's .
